with Martin Schrader of Flimmer & Juan Lo Bello of El Triumpho

Thursday, 9 July 2026 | 7:30 pm | Enotéka Wild Wines, Kleinbasel

Anyone who has ever taken part in a pub quiz knows the idea: people gather in small teams to solve questions, discuss answers and have a good time together. We'd like to bring that same relaxed atmosphere into the world of wine.

Throughout the evening, we'll combine quiz rounds with a tasting of selected rosé wines, stories from the vineyard and cellar, and conversations about one of the wine world's most underestimated categories. Together, we'll discover just how diverse rosé can be – and why it deserves far more attention than it often receives.

Your hosts for the evening are Martin Schrader (Flimmer), Juan Lo Bello (Wine Guru on Wheels & El Triumpho) and Matteo Baldi (Wild Wines). Martin and Juan bring the perspective of independent winegrowers, while Juan also shares his experience as a WSET Certified Wine Educator. Matteo will guide you through the evening as your host.

The event will be held in English and German.

Participation

Participation is free of charge, as this is the first edition of the format and we'd love to develop it together with you.

What to expect

This isn't a traditional competition, but a playful journey into the world of rosé. Through a series of quiz rounds, you'll test your knowledge, discuss answers with your team, taste different wines and discover the stories behind them.

Martin Schrader farms his vineyards on the Tüllinger Berg biodynamically and works almost exclusively with disease-resistant grape varieties. His wines are driven by curiosity, experimentation and a minimalist approach in the cellar.

Juan Lo Bello has experienced the wine world from almost every angle – from production and distribution to education. As a WSET Certified Wine Educator, he has a gift for making wine approachable, engaging and genuinely fun.

Here's what you can look forward to:

-several light-hearted quiz rounds all about rosé

-a tasting of carefully selected rosé wines

-stories and insights shared directly by the winemaker and wine educator

-prizes for the winning team

-the opportunity to purchase all the wines tasted during the evening as a specially priced mixed six-bottle case

Coming on your own? Please do.

You're welcome to join either on your own or with friends. We'll play in teams of four, which we'll put together at the beginning of the evening. With a maximum of 16 participants, the event remains intimate and offers a great opportunity to meet new people while discovering the world of rosé together.

No prior wine knowledge is needed. Curiosity, conversation and a relaxed evening are what matter most – with good questions, good wines and good company.
